Alayna Hauke (Portland, Oregon) began her formal dance training at Fired-Up Dance Academy under the direction of Carene Boersma and Ashley VonWeller. In 2016, she was accepted into the University of Arizona School of Dance with both academic and dance scholarships. This gave her the opportunity to train and perform works by Tamara Dyke-Compton, Elizabeth George, Michael Williams, James Clouser, and Sam Watson. In May of 2020, she received her BFA in Dance as well as a minor in Business Administration. In addition to the University of Arizona faculty, she has studied with SoulEscape The Company, New Dialect, Vim Vigor, and Alonzo King LINES Ballet. As a performer, she has had the opportunity to perform at the El Portal in Los Angeles with SoulEscape The Company, the Tucson Museum of Art with Hawkins Dane Company, the Palm Desert Choreography Festival, and at the DM Art Festival. Alayna now continues to teach and choreograph at various studios in the Milwaukee area and is a certified teacher in Fletcher Pilates. She is thrilled to be an inaugural member of Nova Linea Contemporary Dance.
